My friend whose son used to attend Mines grad school was raving about this place. Since my son was attending Mines' summer program, we definitely had to pay a visit. Boy it did not disappoint. I chose the carne asada burrito and my son got tacos. When we arrived little after 1pm on a Sunday, the place was packed. It was also 95F so it was extremely hot while sitting at the benches. It's somewhat shaded but when it's that hot, outdoor seating just kills you. It does take some time to get your food, so make sure you are not in a hurry. I did see that they had a separate counter for online order pick up. How efficient! Despite sitting in the heat, we both enjoyed our food. The hype was real. Can't wait to go back again when my son attends Mines (hopefully!)

The skinny: best bfast burritos in denver - hands down. The overview: Cute spot in Golden that has blown up quite a bit, premade ones can be found all over now. But trust me its blown up for good reason. Do yourself a favor and venture out to their eclectic Golden location, it has some indoor seating and a nice little patio. Note it does get busy but you can order ahead online to make it easier. The food: I've loved everything I've gotten here but the standouts are: (1) Chupacabra: Super filling, packed with all sorts of meat - chorizo, bacon, sausage. The meatlovers of the burrito world. (2) Javelina: Love the spice from the jalepeno balanced with the sweet of the pineapple. Because I'm a messy eater I normally go for a bowl and for bfast - little giant is enough to be filling but not put me to sleep. Would I come back: Yes and often times do. This is our go-to for weekend burritos and when we have visitors - a great spot before hitting a hike.

10/10 breakfast food but it gets busy so be prepared for a line some time. It's a small place and seating can get limited. I usually get a Chupacabra breakfast burrito that has 50/50 or mild spice and it's perfect. Just really consistently great food. I always recommend this place.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. 100% recommend. The service was surprisingly fast for how packed it was. Super popular spot and the line was out the door but we were waiting maybe 15 minutes max. I got a classic with bacon and it had so much flavor. I really wish we went back to try their lunch burritos

On the record. Best breakfast burrito I have had in Denver since moving here in 1997. Chupacabra is magic, the original and Diesel Drip hot sauces are awesome, they have a bar, they have great tunes, and the red onion add was worth a buck or two. I can't speak for lunch, but this is a must in CO for a breakfast burrito. I didn't take a picture of the burrito with tinfoil off because I was too excited to eat it. They also ask for your temp choice. The hot is incredible, but be ready for it. Definitely recommend and see you there (next time I am out in Golden).

Wowza. Granted, I am a visitor to Colorado and I found this place by searching "best burritos" on Yelp. Still, I was impressed and my husband was making noises I usually only hear elsewhere as he ate. I felt the price was right for what we got, but we are from a high cost of living area so maybe this was expensive? We had three different kinds of meat the table and I sampled them all. My pork was beautifully melded with the beans and cheese and peppers provided the right amount of heat I requested. I was surprised at how good the chicken my kids ordered was - the spice on the chicken really stood out. The asada was also good, but I barely was able to steal a tiny bit from my husband. Highly recommend!

I wanted to try some green chili sauce for the first time on my most recent visit to Colorado, and Bonfire didn't let me down. I was in the area for a work conference from 3/15-3/20 and scheduled a Coors Brewery tour in Golden for 3/16. Luckily Bonfire has online ordering because the two Ubers we had to take from the JeffCo Building W Train stop to Bonfire then to the Brewery almost caused us to be late for the tour! Anyway, my friend ordered a Deluxor, and I ordered the Chupacabra with extra roasted Anaheim peppers and mild green chili on the side because I didn't know what the spice would be like. Both were excellent. Yum! Bonfire was really busy (duh, 1030 Saturday morning), but our online order was ready when we got there, and we were able to find a couple stools on the rail to wolf down our bowls.
